I'm typing this while waiting for my luggage in the Atlanta airport. We were able to spend an extra 90 minutes sitting on the plane as two storms passed over the airport--filled with lightning, thunder, heavy rain and hail. Always nice to end a trip with extra time on the plane.
This morning began in Pasadena with a 2.7 mile walk. The goal had been 3 miles, but I was a bit short on time (that means I hit "snooze" twice on the alarm clock). While I indicated my legs are most stiff two days after the marathon (which would have been yesterday), my quads were more sore and tight this morning than during either of the previous days. The rest of me feels fine, just need to work out the thigh soreness. Given the number of hills on the Boston course, sore thighs are to be expected.
As a bit of trivia, for those interested (and I don't encourage anyone to do this) you can go on ebay and bid on a 2009 Boston Marathon medal. What took me four hours, 25 minutes and 27 seconds, can be yours after a successful bid. It would be better, however, if you went for a run today with the ultimate goal being to earn the medal, rather than outbid someone.
